Dear ones,
During this Temple Steps, I was guided to do another energy field healing for our group. This includes the people who were there live, as well as those who will watch at a later time. When I do this, Spirit will often show me images to pay attention to and share, along with messages that come in.
Immediately when I closed my eyes, I saw a huge hourglass. At times, the sand was pouring through fiercely and quickly. At others, barely a grain seemed to move. All of us have to deal with time, and all of us will have different experiences with it. There was a message about Time—who, by the way, I may refer to with a capital T when I see fit. 😂
There may be times when you perceive that things are happening very quickly in your life. Other times, not quickly enough. Whenever we have a judgment about Time, that can be our cue that Junior—the word I use for the ego—has entered the chat and taken on a middle-management position.
Things are going to move at the pace they move, and sometimes that feels really uncomfortable. With this Pisces eclipse, so many of us are in the process of letting go while also receiving our next steps. It can feel really uncomfortable to live in that space. But what happens when we trust Divine Timing?
Funny side story. A year ago, I accidentally went viral. It wasn’t millions of views, but a reel I shared ended up with close to 200K views—and it was not a pleasant experience. I had shared a video celebrating the accomplishment of receiving my first-degree black belt in Kung Fu. Somehow, it found its way to an angry mob of strangers who were very happy to troll, ridicule, and attack me. It was surreal.
And then, almost exactly a year later, I went viral again. Right around the time we were gathering on the Temple Steps, a reel I’d posted about the eclipse—with short horoscopes for all the signs—really started taking off. This time, people weren’t passing it around because they wanted to ridicule me. They were sharing it because something I said resonated with them. That was surreal, too. But my relationship with the experience feels much more neutral.
These two episodes of virality happened within about a year of each other, and I keep thinking about that hourglass. Why, out of everything I have shared and posted, did these particular things catch fire? Why then? Why now?
And that’s when I remember the Illusion of Control—one of the teachings that made its way through this Temple Steps gathering. No matter what we do, we cannot micromanage the experience the Divine has in store for us.
I am a fan of destiny. Not in the sense that Fate is controlling our every move, but in recognizing that there are moments in our lives—pleasant and unpleasant—when Time seems to stop and say:
Hey. Pay attention.
Maybe Divine Timing is at work here. This thing you’re judging as good or bad, right or wrong, wanted or unwanted? This, too, is part of your path.
I’m not saying that becoming an influencer is part of my destiny. 😂 And I’m definitely not saying I’m only going to share astrology content from now on. That’s not the point. What I am noticing is that the first time I went viral, I may have been much more attached to what the thing I shared meant about me. I had accomplished something important to me. I was proud of it. And when strangers took that thing and reflected something ugly back at me, it hurt.
This time? I really didn’t care. I shared something because I felt like sharing it. I offered what I saw. I put it out there and went on with my day. And it moved.
And either way, Time did not care.
Time didn’t speed up because I wanted something. It didn’t slow down because I was afraid. And it didn’t ask me whether I approved of what was happening before moving me through it.
Maybe that’s part of what the hourglass was showing us. There are times to move. There are times to wait. There are things we will understand while they’re happening, and things whose meaning won’t become clear until much later. We don’t have to micromanage all of it.
