The voice that used to scream at me on camera

The voice that used to scream at me on camera

Last night on the Temple Steps, I pulled Wolf Spirit from the Animal Spirit Oracle and had to stop for a second.

Wolf’s message was “turn knowledge into wisdom,” and the wolf on that card has the exact expression my husky Sky used to give me. Sky passed last November. Of all my animals, he challenged me the most, and he’s the one who pushed me into bigger versions of myself. I felt him right there with me, and I teared up in front of everyone.

That moment became the whole teaching. You can know a lot about a partner, a parent or an animal and still miss the wisdom sitting inside the hardest parts of that relationship.
We spent the night on Venus retrograde in Scorpio and the Illusion of Drama. Someone in the chat asked whether what they were feeling was drama or confrontation, which is a question most people are too embarrassed to ask out loud. Confrontation happens when a truth finally gets said and a boundary finally gets named. Drama is the performance of emotion that lets us avoid saying it.

The performance part is worth sitting with. Sometimes we cry, vent and share our feelings with everyone, and we call that being open. What I asked on the live, and what I’m asking you now, is what’s underneath the performance, because that’s where the real intimacy lives.

The collective cards backed this up: Queen of Wands reversed, The Shadow and King of Cups reversed. This retrograde is going to show you exactly where you leak energy and hand your power away in your relationships. Anytime you catch yourself saying “I can’t because…,” that’s the Shadow talking, and it’s lying to you. The full moon in Aries on Saturday puts all of it right in front of you.

I also shared something on the live that I don’t talk about much. When I started doing these streams ten years ago, Junior (my word for ego) screamed at me the entire time, telling me I sounded ridiculous and nobody had any idea what I was talking about. I kept going anyway. Fear yells at you to stay safe, and intuition is the quiet nudge that put you in front of the camera in the first place.

Watch the replay.

Coming Home to Yourself: Musings from a New Moon in Cancer

Dear ones,

We are in a New Moon portal. This New Moon is in the zodiac of Cancer, so if you are feeling a sense of stillness or restlessness today, the invitation is to take a few moments to go within. It is in that inner space that we often experience an emotional reset.

Our emotions are so important. In today’s fast-paced world, we are usually asked to deal with them later. Sometimes we deny our feelings or try to think our way through them. Other times, we act on them before we’ve had the chance to truly understand what they’re asking of us.

This New Moon simply asks that you give yourself permission to have some time alone. You don’t have to take the whole day off, but perhaps you can step away from your to-do list, your comings and goings—and especially any fear loops or worries you’ve been carrying.

What the Journey Taught Me

In my own reflections, I have been integrating my around-the-world journey—from Austin to Los Angeles, to China, to Ireland, to New York, and finally back home. It was the kind of trip I never imagined myself taking, and it changed me in ways I’m still discovering.

During those weeks, I was away from my familiar routines and my sweet fur babies. I missed them deeply. Yet travel has a way of expanding us. There’s something about being unmoored from your daily rhythms that lets you see yourself more clearly—the parts of you that only show up when nothing is scripted, when you don’t know quite what’s coming next.

As someone with a Cancer Moon, the words home and family have taken on an entirely new meaning for me since returning. I used to think of home as a place I go back to. Now I think of it more as something I carry—a feeling I can find inside myself no matter where I am. That distinction has mattered more to me these past weeks than almost anything else.

Crossing a New Threshold

Recently, I have crossed a new threshold in my life. I find myself balancing the completion of my book on animal communication and psychic healing, my work with clients, my personal practices, and creating more intentional time with the people and animals I love.

I can feel something changing—not just in my life, but in the way I relate to it. The old hidden beliefs I carried about what my path was supposed to look like are loosening their grip. I don’t have a tidy explanation for what’s shifting. I just know that I’m being asked to meet my life differently than I have before.

This is, I think, part of what every threshold asks of us. Not a clean before-and-after, but a slow reorientation.

What I’ve Learned From Sitting With Clients

When I sit with a client—whether it’s an animal wishing to communicate with their person or a human standing at a crossroads—I hope to offer more than insight. I hope to help them remember what it feels like to come home to themselves.

Again and again, I’ve witnessed how our greatest challenges aren’t always signs that we’re lost. Sometimes they’re invitations to relate to our lives differently. What appears to be an obstacle is often the very path through it. I’ve seen this play out in a career change someone was terrified to make, in a relationship someone couldn’t understand why they kept returning to, in an animal companion whose sudden behavior shift was actually a message no one had yet been able to hear.

This understanding—that the obstacle and the path are often the same thing—has become one of the deepest foundations of my work. It’s something I’ll be sharing more deeply on the Temple Steps.

An Invitation: The Temple Steps

While I don’t have all of the answers—and I’m learning to accept that perhaps none of us ever will—I do trust the next step Spirit has placed in front of me. I hope you’ll take it with me.

I am going to be hosting our first Temple Steps gathering, a free online gathering where we pause, listen, and practice seeing differently together. We’ll tune in to an Illusion of Relationship™ asking to be seen, the current energetic climate, a Collective Reading, messages from the Animal Kingdom, and live card pulls for a few participants.
This idea began to emerge before my travels, with the quiet knowing that I would recognize when it was time to share it. Well… the time is here.

Wednesday, July 22 4:00 PM CT / 2:00 PM PT / 5:00 PM ET

Join me on whichever platform feels like home:

As a thank-you for officially registering, you’ll also receive my guided audio practice, The Boundary of Becoming, to help you step into greater energetic sovereignty.
