About a year into my psychic business, clients kept telling me they’d love a reading, but it was probably against their religion. I grew up in a very Catholic family, so I got curious about what I was still carrying, and I signed up for a Catholic retreat in my hometown. My mom was so happy you’d think she’d won $11 million.
On the second night, my roommate whispered that she didn’t think we were alone in the room. I told her, very matter-of-factly, that she was right. Spirits were there, and she could ask them to leave so we could sleep. I told her I was a professional psychic and followed up with lavender oil offering to pray with her while she ran to her sister’s room. 🙈 By morning I’d been reported as a witch.
I didn’t get kicked out, and nobody built a fire. I even made besties with the priest and nuns and even had a surprisingly profound mystical experience there. All of that, and I got a front-row seat to what happens when you leave a box blank.
That’s what we talked about at Temple Steps last night: the hidden checklist every group runs on, and how much of it was handed to us by a culture that never asked what we wanted. Koala Spirit came in to anchor us with the message “Spirit has a plan,” carrying the number 35, the gate of change in Human Design. By the end, two shadow cards had come up in the live readings, Challenging Times and Helpless and Hopeless, and they turned out to be the most hopeful part of the night.
If you’ve been quietly editing yourself to keep your place somewhere, watch this one with that group in mind.
